Breaker BootCamp Study Guide
An equipment grounding conductor (EGC) provides a fault-clearing path.
It does not carry normal operating current.
What It Does
The EGC bonds metal parts together and carries fault current back to the source so the breaker trips.
Where It’s Used
Branch circuits
Devices and equipment
Metal boxes and enclosures
One Critical Rule
Grounding clears faults.
If the grounding path is broken, the breaker may not trip.
Why Breaker BootCamp Teaches This
The Breaker BootCamp Study Guide teaches grounding and bonding early so the Breaker BootCamp course produces electricians who understand fault clearing, not just wire colors.
About Breaker BootCamp
