Breaker BootCamp Study Guide

A weather-resistant (WR) receptacle is designed to resist moisture, corrosion, and temperature exposure.

It is required for outdoor and damp locations.

What It Does

A WR receptacle uses corrosion-resistant materials to maintain safe contact pressure in wet or humid environments.

Where It’s Used

  • Outdoor outlets

  • Patios and decks

  • Damp or wet locations

One Critical Rule

A standard indoor receptacle is not allowed outdoors.

If it’s outside, it must be WR-rated.

Why Breaker BootCamp Teaches This

The Breaker BootCamp Study Guide teaches environment-based device selection so the Breaker BootCamp course avoids premature failures, callbacks, and inspection violations.
